From completion to governed reasoning

There is a useful way to understand why current AI keeps letting enterprises down.

A language model is built to complete. Whatever you give it, it will produce the most plausible continuation. That is what it was trained to do.

The problem is that completion and correctness are different things. A system optimised for completion will complete even when it should pause. It will answer even when it should check. It will drift toward the first coherent-sounding path rather than stay committed to the actual objective.

You cannot fix this with better prompts. The drive to complete is architectural.

Geode PRM was designed around a different objective: govern the reasoning process until the task is done correctly. Not until a response sounds finished. Until the work is finished.

That shift, from completion to governed reasoning, is what Gen2 AI is.
